What is a CBD tincture?
It is CBD extracted from hemp and blended into a liquid, usually a carrier oil, that you take by the drop. You can hold the drops under your tongue or add them to food or a drink. Tinctures are popular because they are simple to use, easy to adjust and smoke-free.
CBD is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid, which means it does not produce the high associated with THC. Customers often describe CBD as mellow and clear-headed. Effects vary from person to person.

How to use a CBD oil tincture
• Shake the bottle before each use.
• Place a few drops under your tongue and hold them for about a minute before swallowing.
• Or stir the drops into a drink or mix them into food.
• Start with a small serving and see how you feel before taking more.
• Keep the bottle capped and stored in a cool, dark place.
To choose, start with flavor and brand. If you like mint, try Campfire. If you prefer orange, try Orange Birch. If you want CBD with the other cannabinoids removed, read about CBD isolate and check each COA for its formula.

CBD tincture FAQs
Is CBD oil the same as a CBD tincture?
In everyday use, yes. Traditional tinctures were made with alcohol, but most tinctures sold today are oil-based, so shoppers and stores use the two names for the same kind of product.
Will a tincture get me high?
CBD does not produce the high associated with THC. Formulas vary, so check the COA if you want to know exactly which cannabinoids are in a bottle.
Can CBD show up on a drug test?
Standard drug tests look for THC, not CBD. Some CBD products contain trace amounts of THC, though, and that can lead to a positive result. Check each product's COA, and if you are tested, keep that risk in mind.
How quickly will I feel it?
It varies. Taken under the tongue, some people notice it sooner than when it is added to food or drinks, which can take 30 minutes to 2 hours. Start small and wait before taking more.
How many servings are in a bottle?
That depends on the bottle and how many drops you use. Check the product label and product page for serving information.
